In the mystical realm of Asgard, the great World Tree Yggdrasil once stood proudly, its branches touching the heavens. The gods of Asgard, led by Odin, honored this majestic tree as the vital link connecting their world to the cosmos.

Yet, as the Twilight of the Gods approaches, a cataclysmic explosion consumes the World Tree. It burns and shatters, scattering fragments infused with powerful energy called "The Sacred Flame" across the universe. In their endless wanderings, exiles from the sacred realm discover these fragments, and some gain the Flame's power, rising as new deities.

But the old, displaced gods do not welcome these newcomers. Thus begins a thousand-year conflict—the "War of the Gods."
