Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One, an immersive single-player action-horror game set in the iconic Alien universe, is set to receive a significant upgrade. The good news? You won't need a VR headset to dive into the action.
The newly announced Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part One: Evolved Edition will launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on September 30, 2025. This edition promises "even deadlier Xenomorphs and enhanced visuals," ensuring a more thrilling and visually stunning experience. Starting today, gamers can wishlist this non-VR version on Steam and PlayStation.
Originally, the game made its debut on PlayStation VR2 and PCVR via Steam in December 2024, followed by a release on Meta Quest 3 in February. The Evolved Edition, developed and published by Survios, will be available at $29.99 for the standard edition, with the Digital Deluxe edition priced at $39.99.
Set in the timeline between the events of the classic films Alien and Aliens, the game takes players on a gripping mission to the planet Purdan (LV-354). Here, players join Zula and her Synthetic companion, Davis 01, in their search for a former squadmate. After a sudden attack, they find themselves navigating the eerie and desolate Castor’s Cradle research facility run by Gemini Exoplanet Solutions. The game is packed with intense action, encounters with Xenomorphs, and a deep sense of mystery.
IGN's review of the VR version awarded it a solid 7/10, describing it as "a compelling first crack at bringing Alien to VR with lots of room to grow." Fans eager to see more of the Evolved Edition will have the chance next month at IGN Live, where the development team will showcase new features and gameplay.
