Leaked Assassin's Creed Shadows Artbook Surfaces Online
An artbook titled "The Art of Assassin's Creed Shadows" has leaked online, generating significant buzz among fans. The leak, initially spotted on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, contains hundreds of pages of concept art, quotes, and development information for the upcoming Assassin's Creed title. Intriguingly, the Reddit post claims the leak originated from a website known for hosting hentai content. Ubisoft has been contacted for comment. While the original source has removed the gallery, archived versions are circulating on other platforms.
The leaked art showcases concepts for historical figures, major cities, and weaponry, potentially revealing plot details for Assassin's Creed Shadows. While confirmation awaits the game's release, the images appear authentic.
The leak comes shortly before Assassin's Creed Shadows' revised launch date of March 20, 2025, following a delay from its initial 2024 release window. IGN recently spoke with game director Charles Benoit, who explained the delay was primarily focused on polishing the game. While minor adjustments were made to progression and balancing, the most significant changes involved refining the parkour system to better navigate the complexities of Feudal Japan's architecture. Benoit described the Japanese rooftops as "probably the most complex thing that I ever worked with," requiring specialized code and animations to maintain fluidity.
