NCSoft has announced the end-of-service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Battle Crush. This is surprising, as the game never reached its fully polished release. Following a global test in August 2023 and an early access launch in June 2024, the game is shutting down just months later.
The game servers will be taken offline on November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases have already ceased. Players who made purchases between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024, are eligible for a refund.
Refunds for Android and Steam users can be requested from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025. Players should download any desired game content by November 28th, 2024, as access will be terminated afterward.
The official Battle Crush website will remain active until May 30th, 2025, for any necessary support inquiries. Social media accounts and the Discord server will be closed on January 31st, 2025.
The sudden closure is undoubtedly disappointing for players who invested time and effort. While Battle Crush offered enjoyable gameplay, it fell short of expectations. Some players reported clunky controls and pacing issues, preventing it from achieving widespread success. This ultimately led to the decision to end service.
Before the game's complete shutdown, players can still access it via the Google Play Store. For those seeking alternative gaming experiences, our next article covers the story-driven quests of Black Desert Mobile's Autumn Season.
