Capturing a monster in *Monster Hunter Wilds* is straightforward but requires precise timing and strategy. The key is to weaken the monster to the point where it becomes vulnerable, then use a trap and tranquilize it to complete the capture.

To know when a monster is weak enough to be captured, watch for specific signs. Your Palico will alert you when the monster is nearing its limit. Additionally, look for a skull icon over the monster on your minimap, and observe if the monster starts limping or drooling, indicating low HP.

Once the monster is weakened, it's time to set your trap. You can choose between a Shock Trap or a Pitfall Trap. Place the trap on the ground and lure the monster into it.
