China has approved the release of the Genshin Impact, GTA and ZZZ hybrid

Ananta, formerly known as Project Mugen, is poised for a full launch, having recently revealed its title and garnering significant attention. Early promotional material showcases a unique blend of gameplay elements inspired by popular titles such as Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and even GTA, all presented within a captivating anime aesthetic.

Approved for release in China, Ananta is slated for a 2025 launch across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms. A December 5th trailer unveiled Ananta as an open-world urban RPG, placing players in the role of an A.C.D. agent investigating the mysteries of Nova, a sun-kissed coastal city ripe for exploration.

This ambitious undertaking is a collaborative effort between NetEase Studios, Thunder Fire Studio, and Naked Rain. The developers highlight the game's global appeal, stemming from its familiar environments infused with supernatural elements.

Key features highlighted for Ananta include four-player team-based combat, a distinctive art style, and fluid, high-speed movement.
