Clash of Clans is set to ditch Troop Training times in major overhaul

Clash of Clans is about to undergo a massive transformation: troop training times are being completely eliminated! Get ready for near-instant army deployment and lightning-fast battles. However, this means it's now or never for your Training Potions and Treats—use them before they're gone! These will be removed from in-app purchases and chest rewards soon, though you can still find them in the Trader and Gold Pass for a limited time. After the month is up, they'll be converted to Gems.

While Clash of Clans remains a beloved mobile gaming classic, its age has become apparent in several areas. Supercell recognizes this and has been gradually modernizing the game. The removal of troop, spell, and siege unit training times is arguably the most significant change yet, following the removal of training costs in 2022.

To help players adapt to this monumental shift, Supercell is introducing "Match Anytime," a new feature allowing attacks on snapshots of other players' bases when no real-time opponents are available. This ensures continuous gameplay and rewards, without penalizing the base owner in the event of a defeat. This mechanic is already used in Clan Wars and Legend League, but it's now becoming standard across the board.

Other changes are also on the horizon, including the introduction of Elixir or Dark Elixir costs for army donations. For complete details on all the upcoming updates, be sure to visit the Supercell blog.
