New Consumables Unveiled in Season 5 of Diablo 4

Diablo IV Season 5 Leaked: New Consumables and Infernal Hordes Mode Unveiled!

Exciting news for Diablo IV players! Season 5 is on the horizon, and data mined from this week's Public Test Realm (PTR) reveals significant additions, most notably new consumables and a thrilling new endgame mode.

Consumables in Diablo IV are items providing temporary buffs or health replenishment. Acquired through monster kills, chests, crests, or merchants, they range from healing potions to elixirs (enhancing armor) and incense (boosting maximum life or elemental resistance). Season 5 dramatically expands this system.

According to Wowhead's findings, four new consumables are coming:

  • Antipathy: A rare anointment increasing resistance.
  • Blackblood: A common anointment boosting a random core stat.
  • Vitriol: A magical anointment enhancing damage over time.
  • Triune Anointment Cache: A new cache containing anointments, rare gear, and crafting materials.

Crucially, these consumables are specifically tied to the new game mode: Infernal Hordes.

Infernal Hordes: A Roguelite Endgame Experience

Season 5 introduces Infernal Hordes, a roguelite endgame mode pitting players against relentless enemy waves. Each 90-second wave culminates in a choice of three modifiers impacting subsequent gameplay. The greater the difficulty, the more rewarding the loot. Similar to Helltide's Profane Mindcage Elixir, Abyssal Scrolls will offer increased challenge within Infernal Hordes.

Currently, details on obtaining, crafting, and using the new consumables remain scarce. The PTR, open until July 2nd, promises further revelations regarding acquisition methods, usage costs, and crafting material requirements for the new anointments. Stay tuned for updates!
