TouchArcade Rating: Following the mobile release of the popular monster-collecting game Coromon by TRAGsoft (initially launched on PC and Switch), a roguelite spin-off is on the horizon. Coromon: Rogue Planet (Free), slated for release next year, will be available on Steam, Switch, iOS, and Android. This new title aims to seamlessly blend the turn-based combat of its predecessor with addictive roguelite mechanics, creating a highly replayable monster-collecting experience. The Steam page boasts features including 10 dynamically changing biomes, 7 unique playable characters, over 130 monsters, and much more. Check out the official announcement trailer below:
The original Coromon is a free-to-play mobile game. It will be interesting to see how Coromon: Rogue Planet performs on mobile upon its release, and whether its launch coincides with the Switch and Steam versions. You can add Coromon: Rogue Planet to your Steam wishlist here. While I haven't played Coromon recently, the gameplay described for Coromon: Rogue Planet sounds particularly engaging. Based on the Steam screenshots, it appears to be ideally suited for short bursts of play. In the meantime, the original Coromon is available for free on iOS here. What are your initial thoughts on Coromon: Rogue Planet, and have you played the original Coromon?
