Crunchyroll Adds Tengami, a Puzzle Game with Japanese Tales that Mimics a Pop-Up Book

Crunchyroll's Game Vault welcomes a captivating new puzzle game for anime and puzzle enthusiasts: Tengami. This visually stunning, atmospheric adventure offers a unique origami-inspired gameplay experience, now available on Android.

A Visual Novel Meets Origami Mastery

Tengami's innovative pop-up book style sets it apart. The game unfolds like origami, immersing players in ancient Japanese folklore. Solving puzzles involves manipulating and interacting with the environment through folding, sliding, and other intuitive actions to uncover hidden secrets.

The journey takes players through enchanting landscapes – dark forests, tranquil waterfalls, and forgotten shrines – all centered around a mysterious, dying cherry tree. Unraveling the tree's fate forms the core of the adventure.

Tengami's mesmerizing visuals are complemented by a captivating soundtrack composed by David Wise (renowned for his work on Diddy Kong Racing).

Is Tengami Right for You?

Tengami's immersive world is meticulously crafted to resemble a real pop-up book; its design is so detailed that recreating the game's elements with paper, scissors, and glue would be entirely feasible.

Developed by Nyamyam and initially released in 2014, Tengami is now available on the Google Play Store through Crunchyroll. It's free for Crunchyroll Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan subscribers.

Stay tuned for our next exciting news piece: a card game adaptation of the Goat Simulator series, launching later this year!
