Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has officially launched its third season within Year Six, titled "Burden of Truth." This season draws players deeper into the narrative, challenging them to track down Kelso across Washington, D.C., using her cryptic clues. Throughout their journey, agents will uncover more details about Lau's recruitment tactics and the mysterious "Cassandra" mission.
A key highlight of the season is the introduction of the Rogue Momentum system, which intensifies combat by promoting aggressive playstyles. Defeating foes and completing combat objectives builds momentum. While basic eliminations contribute moderately, critical strikes, skill synergies, multi-kills, and eliminating elite enemies significantly increase the meter's progression. As momentum rises, players gain enhanced capabilities, including faster movement, quicker reloads, heightened damage output, and improved firing rates. At maximum levels, the Overcharge feature activates, dramatically reducing ability cooldowns.
The season also brings refreshed combat mechanics alongside new armaments and equipment. Owners of the Warlords of New York expansion and Year 1 Pass benefit from an expanded inventory with 50 additional storage slots.
Standout additions include the exotic SMG Oxpecker and the tactical Exodus gloves. Two new brands, Refactor and Shiny Monkey, introduce creative gear alternatives, while named weapons such as the Rusty Classic RPK-74 and Goalie FAL offer unique traits to fine-tune player builds. Available across all platforms, Ubisoft looks forward to player feedback to enhance forthcoming updates.
