Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Demo Available Today

A free demo for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's spin-off, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, launches today! Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam at 7am Pacific / 10am Eastern / 3pm UK, the demo allows players a taste of the full game's action, releasing February 21st (PS4 and Xbox One versions will not have a demo).

The demo offers access to select freeroam areas and battles in Honolulu and Madlantis, bypassing the game's early narrative. Players can experiment with the Mad Dog and Sea Dog fighting styles, tackle powerful bounty enemies, engage in four ship and deck battles within the Pirates' Coliseum, explore new customization options, and enjoy karaoke with three selectable songs.

Unlike the main Like a Dragon series entry, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, this spin-off follows Goro Majima's amnesiac pirate adventures in Hawaii. An October Xbox Partner Showcase trailer highlighted ship combat reminiscent of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and the return of Taiga Saejima, hinting at stronger ties to the main series.

Expect a longer playtime than Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, with an estimated 15-18 hour story. A Kiryu Kazuma costume for Majima is available as an incentive for email signup or Sega rewards program participation.
