Developer Dream Dock has unveiled their latest project, Dreadmoor, a captivating first-person single-player action-adventure game drawing inspiration from the acclaimed 2023 title, Dredge. In Dreadmoor, players will take command of a fishing trawler to navigate the treacherous waters of the post-apocalyptic Drownlands. The game promises a blend of fishing, exploration, combat against monstrous creatures, crafting, and boat upgrades, all while unraveling the mysteries hidden beneath the surface. Currently in development for PC, fans can get a glimpse of what's in store by checking out the announcement trailer and the first set of screenshots in the gallery below.
Dream Dock paints a vivid picture of Dreadmoor's setting: "Step behind the helm of a fishing trawler and set sail into a world transformed by a global nuclear war. Continents have vanished beneath the waves, leaving behind a landscape of scattered islands and the submerged ruins of ancient civilizations. As a survivor, you'll sell your catch to other survivors, complete quests, and edge closer to survival. Be vigilant—your ship’s cargo hold might become a battleground for creatures. Enhance your vessel and craft essential equipment to delve into the hidden depths and uncover secret locations. The Drownlands are home to mutated creatures and sinister mysteries, especially at night, and the ever-present threat of radiation adds an extra layer of danger."

With over 100 species of fish to catch, the game challenges players to use the most unusual bait for the deepest and most formidable catches, which promise the most significant rewards. Players will also engage in scavenging for resources and explore both the surface and the submerged world beneath. If Dreadmoor piques your interest, you can add it to your wishlist on Steam and stay tuned for further updates.
