Seven years after the release of its ninth mainline installment, the Dynasty Warriors franchise is back with Dynasty Warriors: Origins—a reboot designed to attract both new and seasoned Musou fans. This fresh start leaves many with questions, so let's address some of the most frequently asked.
Unfortunately, Dynasty Warriors: Origins does not offer any multiplayer functionality. This may disappoint some fans of the series.
Unlike previous entries, Dynasty Warriors: Origins features a fixed protagonist. You won't be able to switch characters during the main campaign.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a reboot. While it revisits familiar battles and events, it does so through the lens of a new, original, nameless hero. No prior knowledge of the series is required, making it an excellent starting point for newcomers.
While battles take place in expansive areas, these are not seamlessly connected. Players navigate between them using an overworld map.
To clarify any previous misunderstandings, Dynasty Warriors: Origins will *not* be released on PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. It's currently confirmed for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
