Assassin’s Creed’s iconic protagonist, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, has clinched the top spot in Ubisoft Japan’s Character Awards! This online competition, launched to celebrate Ubisoft Japan’s 30th anniversary, aimed to identify the most beloved characters across their extensive catalog. Voting commenced on November 1st, 2024, and fans flocked to the official Ubisoft Japan website’s special 30th anniversary page to cast their votes for their top three favorites.

The top five results were unveiled today on Ubisoft Japan’s official website and X (formerly Twitter), with Ezio proudly taking first place. To honor this achievement, a dedicated page on the site now features Ezio in a unique artistic style. Fans can also download four exclusive digital wallpapers for PC and smartphones, showcasing Ezio in all his glory. Moreover, 30 lucky fans will be selected via lottery to receive a special acrylic stand set featuring Ezio, while another 10 will win an exclusive 180 cm jumbo body pillow adorned with Ezio’s image.

In addition to Ezio, Ubisoft highlighted the other nine characters that made it into the top ten. Watch Dogs’ protagonist, Aiden Pearce, secured second place, with Edward James Kenway from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag coming in third.

  • 1st: Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Liberation)
  • 2nd: Aiden Pearce (Watch Dogs)
  • 3rd: Edward James Kenway (Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag)
  • 4th: Bayek (Assassin’s Creed Origins)
  • 5th: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Assassin’s Creed)
  • 6th: Wrench (Watch Dogs)
  • 7th: Pagan Min (Far Cry)
  • 8th: Eivor Varinsdottir (Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla)
  • 9th: Kassandra (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey)
  • 10th: Aaron Keener (The Division 2)

Furthermore, a separate poll was conducted to rank Ubisoft’s game series as franchises. Assassin’s Creed emerged as the clear winner, surpassing Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs, which took second and third places respectively. The Division series secured fourth place, with Far Cry rounding out the top five.
