The Tachyon Medal is a crucial late-game item, integral to a challenging and extensive JRPG side quest. Obtaining it is just the first step; its true purpose unfolds later in your journey. Here's how to acquire this essential item.
The Tachyon Medal is first mentioned in Shangri-La and is the final item you'll need before confronting the final boss. To obtain it, progress through the main storyline until you reach Sanctum, located in the God Realm via the Communication Network. Inside the Mirror of Order, you'll face God's Predator, a formidable but conquerable boss. Be prepared, as it frequently summons allies and uses "Consume," an attack that drains 90% of your health. Kina's healing abilities will be invaluable here. Equipping Petrification Null gear is highly recommended.
Leo's Fire Samidare +2 should prove effective against summoned enemies. Consider bringing Cherryl, whose Concentrate and Charge abilities inflict significant damage.
After defeating God's Predator, proceed to the Laboratory via the Balcony. This area is filled with rubble. To your right, you'll discover a chest containing the coveted Tachyon Medal.
Utilizing the Tachyon Medal requires completing two key tasks. First, reach the Altar in Shangri-La. Second, complete the Cinderella Tri-Stars side quest. The Cinderella Tri-Stars appear in eight locations; the first two are part of the main story:
Defeat these bosses in the order listed. After their final defeat in Shangri-La, you'll be able to open three chests below the Altar. One contains the Holy Belt, granting All Ailment Null.
Once all chests are opened, a glowing door will appear, prompting you to use the Tachyon Medal to reverse time. Possessing the Medal initiates NG+ from this point. Your levels, items, and equipment carry over. While enemies are stronger in NG+, it shouldn't pose a significant challenge, especially if you've completed all side quests beforehand. You'll also earn the Time Reverse Trophy/Achievement. Begin your journey anew to save the Human Realm.
