Fantastic Four Photo Hints at Thunderbolts* Post-Credits Link

A newly released still from The Fantastic Four: First Steps appears to depict a scene from the film's later stages, which connects to the post-credits sequence of Thunderbolts*/New Avengers.

The image, shared on Instagram by Fandango, shows Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm in a futuristic environment, seemingly floating in a zero-gravity setting (via Cinema Blend).

Fans have noted that both characters are wearing their official Fantastic Four spacesuits, which they only obtain after their initial space mission where they acquire their superpowers. A Fantastic Four logo is also visible on what looks like a door or airlock in the background.

This suggests the image is from a point in the movie after the Fantastic Four have fully established themselves as heroes. It also seems to be from a scene not yet featured in any released trailers.

So far, the glimpses we've seen of The Fantastic Four have primarily been Earth-based, focusing on the team grappling with Reed Richards and Sue Storm's impending parenthood, just as the skyscraper-sized Galactus makes his arrival.
