New Game Announced by Streets of Rage 4 Developers

Publisher Dotemu, in collaboration with studios Guard Crush Games and Supamonks, has introduced an exhilarating new title: Absolum. This game is a dynamic fantasy beat 'em up infused with roguelite elements, promising an engaging experience for players.

Set in the mystical world of Talamh, which has been ravaged by a magical cataclysm, Absolum presents a gripping narrative. The inhabitants of Talamh live in fear of magic, a fear that the tyrannical King-Sun Azra cunningly exploits. With the help of his Crimson Order, Azra enslaves mages, creating a reign of terror. However, a valiant group of heroes emerges to challenge his rule. This group includes the necromancer Galandra, the rebel gnome Karl, the mage Brom, and the enigmatic Sidr, each bringing unique skills to the fight against oppression.

Players of Absolum can dive into intense action-packed gameplay, featuring upgradable abilities, powerful combos, and an array of magical spells. The game accommodates both single-player and cooperative modes, encouraging players to combine their attacks and synchronize their strikes to unleash devastating combinations, enhancing the thrill of battle.

Adding to the immersive experience, the game's soundtrack is being composed by a trio of legendary figures in the industry: Gareth Coker, renowned for his work on Ori and Halo Infinite; Yuka Kitamura, who contributed to Dark Souls and Elden Ring; and Mick Gordon, celebrated for his compositions in DOOM Eternal and Atomic Heart. Their combined expertise promises a captivating auditory journey that complements the game's action.

Absolum is slated for release in 2025, and will be available on multiple platforms including PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, ensuring a wide audience can enjoy this thrilling new adventure.
