How to Unlock Farm Expansion in Fields of Mistria

The Farm Expansion significantly increases your farm's size by extending it across the river to the right, providing additional land for structures and crop spaces. To unlock this feature, head to the **Carpenter’s Shop** located in the Eastern Road area. You can purchase the expansion as early as your first year, but there are substantial prerequisites to meet.

First, you need to help the town reach **Rank 55** by accumulating enough Renown points. Additionally, you must complete the Stone Refinery repair quest to gather some of the necessary materials for the expansion. Note that reaching Rank 55 is also required to unlock this quest, ensuring a coordinated progression.

Once these initial requirements are met, you'll need to gather all the materials required for the expansion. This is a significant investment, so prepare for a dedicated effort.

How to Build Farm Expansion in Fields of Mistria

To begin, visit the Carpenter’s Shop on the Eastern Road, northeast of Mistria’s town center. From the shop’s main menu, select ‘Farm Expansion’ at the bottom to view the requirements.

You'll need **40,000 Tesserae** to cover the monetary cost of the upgrade. Accumulating this amount will take time, so maximize your efforts in gathering, farming, and completing quests. Regularly visit the Mines, fish whenever possible, and contribute new items to the Museum.

Next, you'll require **50 x Refined Stone**, which involves repairing the **Stone Refinery**. This repair can only be done after reaching Town Rank 55 and repairing the Inn beforehand.

Lastly, you'll need **50 x Hard Wood**, which is relatively easier to obtain. With a **Copper Axe**, you can harvest Hard Wood from the **large tree stumps** around your farm and beyond, each yielding 2 x Hard Wood. Alternatively, you can acquire this material from **Balor’s Cart** on specific days or by turning in items to the Museum.
