Indie Game Studio Unveils Alluring New Title

One More Level, the studio behind the acclaimed Ghostrunner franchise, has revealed a new project: Cyber Slash. Known for their fast-paced, brutal action games, One More Level is shifting gears with this title, set in a dark, alternate-history Napoleonic era.

While the studio is also working on Project Swift (slated for a 2028 release), the newly unveiled image strongly suggests Cyber Slash is the focus of current development.

Cyber Slash promises an epic reimagining of the early 19th century, pitting legendary heroes against terrifying, unknown forces. Gameplay will maintain a challenging, action-packed feel, but will depart from the Souls-like formula that defined Ghostrunner. While parrying and exploiting enemy weaknesses will remain important, the protagonist will undergo mutations throughout the game, adding a unique evolution mechanic. This departure suggests a fresh take on the studio's signature fast-paced combat.
