Marvel Rivals: A Strategist's Guide to Support Characters
Many Marvel Rivals players focus on high-damage dealers, but strategic support characters are crucial for team survival. This guide ranks the seven available support units, focusing on their healing and buffing capabilities. While Jeff is popular, he's not the top choice.

S Tier
Mantis: An exceptional support unit. Mantis heals allies, applies damage buffs by consuming orbs (which regenerate automatically or via headshots), and can self-heal. Her effectiveness hinges on headshot accuracy, but she's beginner-friendly. While a potent healer, she's fragile and needs careful positioning.
Luna Snow: Another top-tier strategist. Her primary attack heals allies or damages enemies. Her "Ice Art" ability boosts healing and damage, and her Ultimate, "Fate of Both Worlds," creates an AoE effect for either healing or damage. Easy to use, her strength lies in strategic positioning and timing. Her damage output is secondary to her support role.
A Tier
Adam Warlock: A strong support character capable of reviving multiple teammates with his Ultimate, creating a Quantum Zone that grants temporary invincibility to revived allies. He also heals with "Avatar Life Stream" and uses "Soul Bond" to share damage and provide a heal-over-time effect across multiple allies.
Cloak & Dagger: Cloak's attack heals allies or damages enemies, offering self-sustain through healing over time. Dagger focuses on damage and applying the "Vulnerability" debuff. "Dark Teleportation" boosts ally movement speed and provides invisibility.
B Tier
Jeff the Land Shark: While popular, Jeff's healing is weaker than higher-tier characters, making him less effective in extended battles. His simplicity is good for beginners, and his Ultimate is entertaining.
Loki: A solid but skill-dependent support. He heals allies and summons decoys that mimic his actions, requiring precise positioning. His Ultimate allows him to shapeshift into other heroes for 15 seconds.
Rocket Raccoon: Unlike other supports, Rocket focuses on utility and damage, even reviving allies with his "Respawn Machine." He's a hybrid DPS/support, and his effectiveness depends heavily on player skill. His small size makes him a vulnerable target.
Ultimately, the best support character depends on your playstyle and enjoyment. Experiment to find your favorite!
