What's the Buzz?

Metal Slug: Awakening delivers a modern twist on the beloved '90s franchise. Initially revealed in 2020 by TiMi Studios as Metal Slug Code: J, the game has seen some delays and name changes. Following its Southeast Asian launch in late 2023, it's finally ready for a worldwide release.

For those unfamiliar with the series (though we doubt that's many!), Metal Slug is a Japanese run-and-gun game series, originally launched in 1996 by Nazca Corporation. It has since grown into a significant multimedia franchise.

While Metal Slug has ventured into mobile gaming before (Metal Slug Defense, Attack, and Commander), Awakening promises a significant upgrade.

This new installment stays true to the original's core mechanics, but boasts enhanced graphics and exciting new features. Reunite with your favorite Metal Slug characters in brand-new missions. Engage in the World Adventure mode, team up with friends for 3-player co-op action, or test your skills in challenging Roguelike scenarios.
