Monopoly GO! is taking players on an epic journey with its latest event. Following the successful Marvel collaboration last year, the game is now set to merge with the iconic Star Wars universe in what promises to be one of Scopely's most ambitious crossovers to date.
Mark your calendars! The Monopoly GO x Star Wars collaboration kicks off on May 1st and will continue until July 2nd. The event starts with an amusing twist: PEG-E, the beloved Monopoly GO robot, finds herself engrossed in a Star Wars movie in Mr. M’s private cinema. Her immersion leads her to dream up a world where she and her friends are part of the Star Wars galaxy. Here, the focus shifts from real estate to the epic battle between Jedi and Sith, and the eternal struggle between the light and dark sides.
During the event, players can dive into the new Star Wars GO! sticker album, which unfolds like a comic book, reimagining parts of the Star Wars saga through PEG-E’s creative lens. Expect to see beloved characters like R2-D2, C-3PO, BB-8, Yoda, Mace Windu, Luke, Rey Skywalker, Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Grogu, Qui-Gon Jinn, and the Mandalorian. The usual Monopoly GO events will also get a Star Wars makeover, featuring mini-games set in iconic locations such as Tatooine and the Mos Espa Grand Arena. You might even witness Qui-Gon and Mr. M competing in thrilling podracing events.
The event trailer, which debuted at Star Wars Celebration Japan, offers a glimpse into the Star Wars-infused gameplay. From lightsabers to space travel, the event is rich with galactic references. Check out the Monopoly GO x Star Wars Collab trailer below to see the excitement unfold:
In addition to the stickers and characters, players can collect various Star Wars-themed cosmetics, including tokens, shields, and emojis. Keep an eye on the game's social media pages for news and additional updates throughout the event.
