Capcom has unveiled early details for Monster Hunter Wilds’ first major patch, slated for early April. Following the game's launch, Title Update 1, detailed in a Steam post, will arrive a little over a month later, giving players ample time to prepare for the new content and challenges.
This update introduces a significant challenge: a monster exceeding even the strength of Tempered foes. Capcom urges players to ready their gear and resolve. Alongside this formidable creature, Title Update 1 will add a new endgame gathering hub. This social space, accessible after completing the main story, allows hunters to meet, communicate, share meals, and more. Early reactions to this addition have been mixed, with some welcoming the social aspect while others question its absence from the initial release. While resembling Gathering Hubs from previous Monster Hunter titles, Capcom notably avoids using that term here. The inclusion of this hub addresses the game's current lack of a dedicated social space, a feature present in player camps but absent in a true central location.
Capcom released several images showcasing this new gathering area:
In addition to the update announcement, Capcom released a Monster Hunter Wilds troubleshooting guide in response to mixed Steam user reviews.
For those embarking on their Monster Hunter Wilds journey, resources are available including guides on lesser-known game mechanics, a comprehensive walkthrough, a multiplayer guide, and instructions for transferring beta characters.
IGN awarded Monster Hunter Wilds an 8/10 in their review, praising the game's refined combat but noting a lack of significant challenge.
