Morpeko to Haunt Pokémon GO for Halloween

Pokémon GO's Halloween festivities are about to begin! Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 of the event, with a Part 2 to follow. Get ready for thrilling features and spooky Pokémon encounters.

The event kicks off Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

Event Highlights:

• Morpeko's Debut: The Electric/Dark-type Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut, introducing unique battle mechanics. Its Full Belly and Hangry Modes, each affecting its Aura Wheel attack (Electric or Dark-type, respectively), will add a dynamic element to GO Battle League and Team GO Rocket battles. Morpeko will have increased encounter rates in the GO Battle League's premium track during the event and will remain available at Rank 16 and beyond.

• Festive Atmosphere: Enjoy Halloween-themed decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town music playing nightly throughout the event. [Link to Lavender Town Remix Video]

• Dynamax Adventures: Engage in one-star Max Battles featuring Dynamax Gastly, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

• Timed Research: A free Timed Research event, running from October 22nd to November 3rd, focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Complete tasks to encounter Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
