If you're diving into S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, you've likely heard about the enigmatic Poppy Field and its hidden treasures. Among these, the Weird Flower stands out as a peculiar Artifact worth tracking down. Here's everything you need to know about finding, equipping, and using the Weird Flower in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

The Weird Flower Artifact can be found on the northern side of the Poppy Field. To reach it, navigate past the distinctive L-shaped house in the center of the field. Be prepared, though—entering the field requires some fortitude. Bring a few Non-Stop Energy Drinks, as Skif will become drowsy and may even experience hallucinations. Keep moving forward until you spot a small, glowing blue flower growing on the ground.

Once you've acquired the Weird Flower, equip it by placing it in the empty Artifact slot above the Quick Access section. Keep in mind that the number of Artifacts you can carry depends on your gear. New players typically start with the ability to equip only one.
The Weird Flower grants a temporary stealth buff, but here’s the catch—you must sleep while wearing it to activate its effect. So far, I’ve only discovered one bed where Skif can rest: located in the Lesser Zone, inside the side room near the Trader. Using this bed will also advance the game timeline. For example, sleeping in the morning might wake you up at night.
While the Weird Flower is intriguing, its practicality is somewhat limited. There aren’t many beds scattered throughout the game world, making its utility less impactful. Additionally, as someone who prefers direct combat over stealth, I ultimately sold the Artifact to a Trader.
Available now on Xbox and PC, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl offers endless opportunities to uncover secrets and explore the Zone.
