Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced significant leadership changes, effective April 1, 2025. Hideaki Nishino has been appointed sole CEO of SIE, succeeding the previous co-leadership structure. This follows the retirement of Jim Ryan last year, which saw Nishino and Hermen Hulst share leadership responsibilities.
Simultaneously, Sony Corporation announced the promotion of Hiroki Totoki to President and CEO, replacing Kenichiro Yoshida. Lin Tao assumes the role of CFO.
Nishino, a Sony veteran since 2000, previously served as SVP, Platform Experience Group. He will now oversee all SIE operations and lead the platform business group. Hermen Hulst remains CEO of PlayStation Studios.
In a statement, Nishino expressed his honor at leading SIE, emphasizing the company's commitment to technological innovation and creative experiences to expand the PlayStation community and its intellectual property. He thanked Hulst for his continued contributions.
