Pokemon Go Unova Tour Features Black and White Kyurem

Get ready for the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova! Black and White Kyurem and Shiny Meloetta are making their debut. This guide details how to catch and fuse Kyurem.

Kyurem's Alternate Forms Arrive

The Pokémon GO Tour: Unova, initially announced in December 2024 and launching February 2025, features Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and a Shiny Meloetta. From February 21st to 23rd, 2025, in-person event attendees in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, can participate in five-star raids to catch Kyurem and then fuse it.

Kyurem Fusion:

To fuse Kyurem:

• Black Kyurem: Requires 1000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy.
• White Kyurem: Requires 1000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy.

Fusion Energies are earned by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reverting Kyurem to its base form is free. Shiny Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom have increased encounter rates during the event.

A global event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Global, runs March 1st-2nd, 2025, offering free access to these Pokémon.

Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event ticket holders can complete a Masterwork Research to encounter it. This research doesn't expire.

Unova's Legendary Trio and Meloetta

Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originated in Pokémon Black and White (Generation V). Kyurem's alternate forms, with their unique moves (Ice Burn and Freeze Shock), were introduced in Pokémon Black and White 2. This event brings the complete Unova legendary experience to Pokémon GO!
