Pokémon Go Tour: Unova in Los Angeles to Proceed Despite Wildfires; Refunds Offered
The Pokémon Go Tour: Unova event, scheduled for Los Angeles, will proceed as planned despite earlier concerns regarding the devastating wildfires that ravaged the area. The event will take place at the Rose Bowl Stadium, Brookside Golf Course, and throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.
Niantic, the event organizer, has confirmed the event's continuation. However, acknowledging the hardships faced by many due to the wildfires, they're providing full refunds to ticket holders unable to attend. Requests can be submitted through in-app support until February 23rd.
Beyond the game, Niantic's decision to press forward signifies a commitment to restoring normalcy for attendees. The company also pledged further support for the local community and urged participants to prioritize safety and follow all health guidelines. Additional updates are promised.
