PUBG Mobile Global Open Launches with Nearly 100,000 Participants

The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off with an electrifying start, drawing over 90,000 registered competitors eager to showcase their skills in the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year. The Open Qualifiers, which began on February 13th, are providing a golden opportunity for emerging talent to ascend through the ranks and secure a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event.

With a substantial $500,000 prize pool at stake, the competition is fierce. Teams must demonstrate their prowess through multiple rounds of intense gameplay, with the ultimate goal of facing off against established PUBG Mobile Esports organizations. This tournament is uniquely open to amateurs, ensuring that new talent has the chance to shine on the global stage.

Teams featuring at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already earned their place in Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, these emerging squads will vie for a berth in the PMGO Prelims, where they will confront the top teams emerging from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.

From the Prelims, twelve teams will advance to the PMGO Main Event, where they'll challenge PUBG Mobile's elite professional teams. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their spots based on their stellar performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Additionally, four more teams will join the fray from various regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers are scheduled to conclude on March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, leading into the highly anticipated Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament marks the beginning of an action-packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC set to make a return later in 2025.
