"Rauora Joins Rainbow Six Siege as New Operator"

The final day of the Six Invitational is always a highlight for Rainbow Six Siege fans, as Ubisoft traditionally unveils exciting new content. This year, they introduced Rauora, the latest attack operator hailing from New Zealand, adding a fresh dynamic to the game.

Rauora's standout feature is the DOM launcher, a bulletproof shield that can only be deployed in doorways. While it can be destroyed by explosives, its primary function is to provide strategic control over entry points. The shield features a trigger mechanism that can be activated by shooting it; however, the time it takes to open varies based on the team that shoots it. For the attacking team, the shield opens in just one second, while defenders must wait a full three seconds. This difference can be crucial, especially in high-stakes situations like defuser plants, potentially altering the outcome of matches.

In addition to her innovative shield, Rauora brings a new weapon to the arsenal: the Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and an enlarged magazine. Players can also choose between two primary weapons for Rauora: the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle, allowing for diverse tactical approaches.

Fans eager to try out Rauora can access her on the test servers starting next week. However, those playing on the live version of the game will have to wait a bit longer before they can experience her unique abilities firsthand.
