Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, and Niantic has shared all the exciting details ahead of its launch on March 6th, 2025. This season introduces fresh challenges, powerful new weapons, a Season Pass, and an array of monsters. But the excitement doesn’t stop there—Chatacabra makes its highly anticipated debut on February 28th, marking its first appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Additionally, Glavenus and Arzuros join the roster when the season officially kicks off.
Prepare for the upcoming season with some notable changes to weapons. The Sword & Shield receives a significant buff, making it easier to target breakable parts such as tails. Meanwhile, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) rewards well-timed inputs with enhanced performance, leading to more satisfying combos. The Guard skill also gets a major upgrade, with higher levels now reducing incoming damage while blocking. Keep an eye out for further updates in the full patch notes released on March 6th.
There’s even more to look forward to in Season 5. Players dealing with cluttered inventories will appreciate the Item Box Expansion, a Supply Item that adds 250 extra slots to manage their gear. As part of Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary on March 17th, a new trading feature debuts, allowing players to exchange special materials collected during hunts and events for valuable rewards such as Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
