"Shining Revelry Expansion Coming Soon to Pokemon TCG Pocket"

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket tends to ebb and flow. I'm always highly engaged when a new set is released and continue playing as long as there are Emblems to earn for achieving around 40 wins. Once that's done, my routine shifts to logging in, opening packs, doing a Wonder Pick for fun, and then logging off until the next day. This cycle will kick off again with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will add 110 new cards to the TCG Pocket, featuring a diverse range of new Ex Pokemon, Trainers, and the stunning art cards that fans adore. The most thrilling aspect, hinted at by the expansion's name, is the inclusion of Shiny Pokemon. For those new to the concept, Shiny Pokemon are unique color variants of your favorite creatures. For instance, Lucario appears in yellow instead of its usual blue, and Pachirisu boasts a charming pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, offers just a glimpse of what's to come, but let's dive deeper. A new Shiny Charizard Ex will make its debut with 180 HP and an attack called Steam Artillery that deals an impressive 150 damage. The caveat is that it requires five energy cards. However, its other move, Stoke, allows you to attach three Fire Energy cards at once, making it more feasible to use.

Another exciting addition is the new Ex version of Lucario. After playing a more supportive role in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this iteration of the Aura Pokemon is ready for frontline combat. Though its 150 HP may not be groundbreaking, its Aura Sphere attack can deal 100 damage for three Fighting Energy and also hit one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon for 30 damage.

The trailer also teases other cards that, while not game-changers, are still noteworthy. Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom are on their way and look fantastic. Additionally, there's a visually stunning Tatsugiri art rare that I'm eager to add to my digital collection.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is available on the App Store and Google Play, where it's free to play with in-app purchases. If you're interested, you can download it for your preferred platform using the buttons below.
