Squad Busters Retires, Offering Exclusive Emotes to Gamers

Squad Busters is undergoing significant changes, most notably the elimination of Win Streaks. This means the endless climb for consecutive wins and associated rewards is coming to an end. Several other updates accompany this change.

Why the Win Streak Removal and When?

The Win Streak system is being removed because, instead of fostering a sense of achievement, it created undue pressure and frustration for many players. This feature will be gone starting December 16th. However, your highest win streak will remain on your profile as a record of your accomplishment.

To compensate for the removal, players who reach certain win streak milestones (0-9, 10, 25, 50, and 100) before December 16th will receive exclusive emotes.

Unfortunately, there will be no refunds for coins spent on win streaks. The developers cite maintaining game balance between free-to-play and paying players as the reason, explaining that coins are crucial for obtaining characters from Reward Chests.

Player reaction to the change is mixed. Some welcome the reduced emphasis on pay-to-win mechanics, while others express disappointment, particularly regarding the perceived inadequacy of the compensation.

Introducing Cyber Squad

Beyond the Win Streak removal, Squad Busters' latest season, Cyber Squad, is now live. This season boasts numerous rewards, including a free Solarpunk Heavy Skin. Jump into the battles and explore everything Cyber Squad offers.
