Stardew Valley’s developer, ConcernedApe, has recently announced via social media that the Nintendo Switch patch addressing the divorce crash and the raccoon shop issues will be released soon. While these problems have already been tackled on PC, mobile, and Xbox, the update for the Nintendo Switch is still in the works.
Since its launch in 2016, Stardew Valley has undergone numerous updates, captivating players with its unique gameplay and charming pixel art. The game's relaxing mechanics have contributed to its enduring popularity. ConcernedApe has consistently provided updates to introduce new content and fix bugs reported by the community. A significant issue was resolved in December, and the update is now close to being released on the Switch.
ConcernedApe shared on Twitter that the Stardew Valley patch addressing the divorce crash and the raccoon shop is “still coming.” Although a specific release date for the Switch hasn't been set, the developer assures that it will be out as soon as possible. Following the release of update 1.6, players identified these issues among others, which were already fixed on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Around Christmas, ConcernedApe informed the community via Twitter that the Switch patch was in development, and it now appears to be nearing completion.
Stardew Valley Switch Patch Fixing Divorce Crash and Raccoon Shop Coming Soon
Stardew Valley’s major update 1.6 was released for PC in March, introducing a wealth of new content, including new NPC chats with personalized gift reactions, the Meadowlands Farm, and new festivals and events. The update also included visual enhancements such as waterfalls, holiday decorations, and seasonal world map variants.
While update 1.6 resolved many gameplay issues, it inadvertently introduced new problems. The console and mobile versions received update 1.6 in November, but players quickly reported several issues, including game-breaking bugs. An emergency patch was rolled out for the mobile version on November 15, while fixes for other platforms continued.
The Stardew Valley community has expressed appreciation for ConcernedApe’s transparent communication and swift action in addressing player concerns. Although the patch fixing the divorce crash and the raccoon shop on the Switch isn't available yet, players can be confident that the developer is diligently working to release it soon.
