Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Re-released Post-Year-Long Maintenance!

Remember SAOVS, the action RPG by Bandai Namco that was launched in November 2022? Well, SAOVS, also known as Sword Art Online Variant Showdown, has finally been re-released after its 'never-ending maintenance' that began in September 2023. As per their announcement in August 2023, the maintenance was expected to conclude in the summer of 2024. However, it took the developers over a year to address core functionality issues and get the game back up and running.

Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Re-released, So What’s New?

The re-release introduces Battle Royal Season 1, where four players enter the arena, and the one with the most knockouts emerges as the winner. Assemble your top team, dive into League Matches, and earn Titles and accessories. This season will run until December 30th.

If you were a loyal player before the maintenance break, you're in for a treat. The Returning Player Campaign offers you 5 [Sword Spark] Mito Pickup Scout Tickets as a thank you for sticking around.

The Restart Celebration: Six Great Campaigns event is also underway! You can earn up to 100 free Scouts, enjoy login bonuses, and complete missions for epic rewards. This event continues until January 30th, 2025.

Additionally, you have a chance to obtain SSR [Sword Spark] Mito, a Light-elemental fighter. The new SSR Ability Cards 'Destroyer of Destiny' and 'Seasoned Comrades' are also available, but only until January 6th, 2025.
