Pokémon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over – A Style Statement with Shadowy Surprises!

Get ready for a stylish showdown in Pokémon GO! Fashion Week: Taken Over arrives January 15th-19th, blending high fashion with intense battles against Team GO Rocket. This event offers a unique opportunity to rescue Shadow Palkia by confronting Giovanni. The event culminates in a Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day on January 19th, providing another chance to add this powerful Pokémon to your collection.

Two new Pokémon, Shroodle and Grafaiai, debut during Fashion Week. Shroodle can be hatched from 12 km Eggs. Team GO Rocket will be more prevalent at PokéStops and in balloons, offering increased chances to use Charged TMs to remove the Frustration attack from your Shadow Pokémon.

New Shadow Pokémon join the roster, including Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. Keep an eye out for Shiny variations! Remote Raid Passes are now available for Shadow Raids, allowing participation regardless of location.

A special research task will reward you with a Super Rocket Radar, leading to the battle with Giovanni and the rescue of Shadow Palkia. Field Research tasks offer rewards such as Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. Complete a special Collection Challenge to earn Stardust and encounter Trubbish.

Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day takes place on Sunday, January 19th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event features increased Raid Pass availability, boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rates, and the chance to teach Ho-Oh the powerful Charged Attack, Sacred Fire. A $5 event ticket unlocks additional rewards.
