The excitement surrounding the rumored remake of "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4" just got a major boost! Singapore's rating board has officially rated the game for a 2025 release, adding more fuel to the speculation. This eagerly anticipated remake would include the next two iconic games in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series and is set to launch on an impressive array of platforms. According to the ratings board, players can expect it on the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

While there's no official word from Activision yet, the anticipation is building. A mysterious countdown timer spotted in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6" has been teasing fans that some Tony Hawk's Pro Skater news is on the horizon. The timer is set to end on March 4, 2025, suggesting that an announcement could be just around the corner.

Adding to the buzz, Tony Hawk himself has been dropping hints. In a recent interview with Mythical Kitchen, he mentioned that he's been in discussions with Activision and that they're working on something special. "It will be something the fans will truly appreciate," Hawk promised, stirring excitement among the fanbase.

The success of the "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2" remake in 2020 set a high bar, making a follow-up with 3+4 seem like a logical next step. However, the path hasn't been straightforward. After the stellar reception of the 1+2 remake, the original developer, Vicarious Visions, was absorbed into Blizzard in 2021 to focus on other projects. This left the potential for 3+4 in limbo.

Tony Hawk shed some light on the situation during a Twitch livestream in 2022. He explained that Activision had been searching for a new developer to take on the 3+4 remake but struggled to find a studio they trusted as much as Vicarious Visions. "The truth of it is that [Activision] were trying to find somebody to do 3 + 4 but they just didn’t really trust anyone the way they did Vicarious, so they took other pitches from other studios," Hawk said. Despite various pitches, Activision wasn't satisfied, leaving the project's future uncertain.

The big question now is, if "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4" is indeed happening, who is developing it? The Singaporean ratings board lists Activision as both the publisher and developer, but no specific studio has been named. With the countdown timer set to end next week on March 4, fans won't have to wait long to find out more.
