He explained that Activision had been searching for a new developer to take on the 3+4 remake but struggled to find a studio they trusted as much as Vicarious Visions. "The truth of it is that [Activision] were trying to find somebody to do 3 + 4 but they just didn’t really trust anyone the way they did Vicarious, so they took other pitches from other studios," Hawk said. Despite various pitches, Activision wasn't satisfied, leaving the project's future uncertain.

The big question now is, if "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4" is indeed happening, who is developing it? The Singaporean ratings board lists Activision as both the publisher and developer, but no specific studio has been named.
