Sometimes miracles do happen, and those who have waited a long time finally get what they've been hoping for. Valve has released a new comic for the team-based shooter Team Fortress 2, and information about this unexpected content drop appeared on the official game website.
The new Team Fortress 2 comic is titled "The Days Have Worn Away." This is the seventh numbered issue and the 29th release overall, including event and thematic stories. It's been seven long years since the last TF2 comic was released in 2017, making this release a significant event for fans.
The developers at Valve humorously compared the creation of this work to the construction of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. They noted that while all the people who started working on that Italian structure didn’t live to see its completion, Team Fortress 2 players only had to wait "just" seven years for this comic. It's a light-hearted take on the lengthy development process.

The comic itself is quite rich and neatly wraps up the storyline. There is a very high likelihood that there won't be another issue, as hinted by Erik Wolpaw, who posted a very telling tweet on X about "the very last meeting for the Team Fortress 2 comic." At least players have received some closure to the story and a touch of Christmas spirit, making this release a bittersweet yet cherished moment for the community.
