In 2025, World of Warcraft will finally introduce its highly anticipated housing system, and Blizzard has unveiled initial details. They've promised accessible homes for all players, eliminating complex requirements, exorbitant prices, or lottery systems. Crucially, your home won't be forfeited for lapsed subscriptions. This exciting feature is slated for full release with the Midnight expansion.
Initially, players can select a plot in one of two zones: an Alliance zone (combining Elwynn Forest elements with those from Westfall and Duskwood) or a Horde zone (featuring Durotar, incorporating aspects of Azshara and the Durotar coastline).
Each zone is divided into districts, each housing approximately 50 homes. Players can choose to settle in an open area or establish a private community with friends and guildmates. A vast array of customization options will be available, with most obtainable in-game, and some offered through the shop.
Blizzard emphasizes three core principles guiding the housing system's design: extensive customization, robust social interaction, and enduring longevity. Further details on the housing system are promised in the future, and player feedback is currently welcomed.
