Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and More

Xbox Game Pass is kicking off 2025 with a flurry of new titles, starting with the day-one release of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders on January 21st for Ultimate subscribers. While the first half of January saw primarily tier shifts of existing games, the second half promises a more substantial update.

Initially, the January 2025 Game Pass additions seemed sparse, with only Diablo (PC Game Pass) and EA Sports UFC 5 (Ultimate tier) standing out as notable new additions. However, Microsoft has since unveiled a stronger second wave.

Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a co-op and PvP skiing game, will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on its release date. This follows the trend of day-one releases being initially exclusive to the Ultimate tier.

Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game with strong Zelda influences from BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw's studio, Yellow Brick Games, is a particular highlight.

February 2025's Game Pass lineup remains largely unannounced, though Avowed is confirmed for an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate release on February 18th. Until then, Ultimate subscribers can enjoy the exciting new additions to the January 2025 lineup.
