Peak Hunters boasts a growing database of peaks across the Czech Republic and neighboring countries. Use your phone's GPS to log ascents, earn points based on altitude and difficulty, and add your own ratings and photos. The app clearly displays all peaks on a map, filterable by country, mountain range, or distance. Download offline map data for reliable navigation in areas with weak signal. Maps utilize OpenStreetMaps and display hiking trails. Discover and add missing peaks: long-press a peak on the map to submit it to the database; upon approval, you'll earn bonus points! Enjoy expanding statistics, collectible badges (with special recognition for rare achievements), and 48-hour weather forecasts for each peak. A unique feature allows mountain identification by simply pointing your phone at the summit (with the correct distance filter). Anonymous mode is available, though profile transfer, logout, and restoration are disabled. We recommend trying anonymous mode and then creating a registered profile. The app is ad-free and completely free. Developed by a hiker seeking a peak-bagging app with offline maps, Peak Hunters now also features a manual light/dark mode switch in the user profile settings.
