Marvel Rivals Season 1 Mid-Season Update: No Rank Reset

A planned rank reset for Marvel Rivals' Season 1 mid-season update has been cancelled. Initially, NetEase Games announced a reset coinciding with the February 21, 2025 update, which would have introduced The Thing and Human Torch. However, due to significant negative player feedback, this decision was reversed.

The developers stated in a blog post that maintaining ranks and scores from the first half of the season would improve the competitive experience. Players will retain their current rank and score. New rewards, including a Gold rank costume and various Crests of Honor, will be earned by completing 10 competitive matches and meeting specific conditions by the season's end.

This decision showcases NetEase's responsiveness to player concerns. The absence of a mid-season reset provides players, especially those in higher ranks, more time to compete.
