Marvel Rivals Unveils "The Maker," a New Mister Fantastic Skin

Get ready for a villainous twist! Marvel Rivals has just dropped a sneak peek of a brand-new skin for Mister Fantastic: The Maker. This sinister alternate version of Reed Richards, hailing from the Ultimate timeline, will debut alongside the hero himself on January 10th with the launch of Season 1.

The Maker skin showcases a dark, sleek aesthetic – think black and gray with a striking glowing blue circle on the chest and back. A slate-colored mask, featuring a blue visor, conceals most of his face, a result of injuries sustained in a battle with the Human Torch. This isn't the only dark turn for familiar faces; Invisible Woman will also receive a villainous makeover as Malice.

Season 1: Eternal Night Falls promises a wealth of new content beyond just skins. Expect a thrilling new game mode, "Doom Match," a chaotic free-for-all pitting 8-12 players against each other, with the top half emerging victorious. Map updates are also on the horizon, including a dark, ominous version of New York City. Balance adjustments for numerous heroes are also planned.

The January 10th launch (1 AM PST) will also introduce gameplay adjustments and balance changes. While the official announcement focused on The Maker, data miners have unearthed hints of additional upcoming skins, including a Lunar New Year skin for Spider-Man and cosmetics for Hulk, Scarlet Witch, and Doctor Strange. Whether these will appear in the Season 1 battle pass remains to be seen.

The anticipation is palpable! With a new game mode, maps, character adjustments, and exciting new skins like The Maker, Marvel Rivals Season 1 is poised to deliver a significant update.
