Back in January, Bluepoch Games announced an exciting collaboration that has now been fully detailed: the Reverse: 1999 x Assassin’s Creed crossover, featuring the iconic Ezio as a playable character. Partnering with Ubisoft, this crossover will spotlight two beloved entries from the Assassin’s Creed series: Assassin’s Creed II and Odyssey. A teaser released in January showcased Vertin navigating a rainy street, with the glowing Assassin’s Creed logo emerging in the distance, setting the stage for this thrilling collaboration.
The full details of the crossover have been unveiled, with the event set to launch across Android, iOS, and PC in August 2025. Beyond Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the Reverse: 1999 x Assassin’s Creed collaboration promises a wealth of additional content.
The crossover is structured into two distinct phases, each featuring unique Assassin’s Creed-themed stories and events. Phase I transports players to Renaissance Florence, where Vertin and her team will navigate the intricate streets of 15th-century Italy, deciphering cryptic clues.
Phase II shifts the setting to the ancient world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, immersing players in the historical backdrop of Greece. Fans of the game will likely recognize familiar events as Vertin and her team become entangled in the saga.
This crossover marks a significant milestone for Reverse: 1999, as it will be the first time all global servers are synchronized, ensuring that players worldwide can access the event content simultaneously.
Reverse: 1999 is a time-traveling RPG that blends modern and retro aesthetics. As Vertin, the Timekeeper immune to the mysterious phenomenon known as The Storm, players explore different eras that have been affected by these temporal disruptions. Alongside her partner Sonetto, Vertin's mission is to traverse various timelines and rescue other arcanists sensitive to these shifts.
