Project Mugen, now officially titled Ananta, has just released a new announcement trailer—and it genuinely looks impressive. Developed as a free-to-play RPG by NetEase Games and Naked Rain, the game will soon launch a testing phase. Keep reading for all the latest updates!
Not quite yet. The developers are likely saving the gameplay reveal for a later date. That said, the new Ananta announcement trailer still delivers plenty of excitement. It beautifully highlights the traffic and crowd density of Nova City, the game's main setting.
At one point in the trailer, you can even see a toilet flying past a Wind Drop driver! The characters, vehicles, and environments blend together seamlessly, giving the world a vibrant, energetic feel that players hope will carry over into the final gameplay. Starting January 3rd, players can join the Ananta Vanguards program. Membership offers early access to upcoming tests, events overseas, and exclusive updates. Your feedback can help influence the game’s development. An offline technical test will also begin the same day in Hangzhou.
Ananta appears set to shake up the gacha genre—possibly as the most ambitious release since Genshin Impact. Even this brief trailer is dense with details and reveals. The developers have integrated a host of compelling features and systems, which is thrilling, though it also raises expectations.
