Jonathan Dumont, Creative Director, has revealed that completing Assassin's Creed Mirage's main story will take approximately 30-40 hours. Adding in all the optional content could double that playtime, resulting in a total estimated playtime of around 60-80 hours. This information comes from an interview with journalist Genki, offering players a clearer picture of the game's time commitment.
Dumont previously compared Mirage to earlier titles like Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. However, given the significant differences in length between those games, this comparison proved less helpful. Acknowledging the challenges of defining playtime in an open-world game, Dumont clarified that Mirage shares a similar scope to Origins. According to HowLongToBeat.com, Origins requires roughly 30 hours for the main story and up to 80 hours for completionists.

For players concerned about excessively long games, Mirage appears to offer a more balanced experience. In contrast to Valhalla, which faced criticism for its lengthy 60-hour main story and potentially 150+ hours of total gameplay, Dumont's estimate suggests a more manageable, yet still rewarding, adventure.
Assassin's Creed Mirage launches March 20th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
