Subtitles are a fantastic accessibility feature, but not everyone's cup of tea. Need to toggle subtitles on or off in *Avowed*? Here's how.
Avowed initially presents subtitle options, but you can easily change them later. There are two locations to adjust subtitle settings: the "UI" or "Accessibility" tabs within the "Settings" menu. Look for "Conversation Subtitles" and "Chatter Subtitles" and set them to your preference. The "Accessibility" tab offers the clearest and easiest method.
While subtitles are essential for many (myself included!), some find them distracting. Ultimately, it's a matter of personal preference. Enable them if you need or prefer them; disable them if you don't.
Avowed offers a range of standard accessibility options, although not as extensive as some titles. You can customize subtitle size, background opacity, and display duration for improved readability.
Beyond subtitles, options to mitigate motion sickness are included, such as reducing camera shake and head bobbing. Additional accessibility features allow adjustments to aim assist, toggling crouch/sprint, and other helpful settings to broaden the game's accessibility.
That's how to manage subtitles in Avowed.
Avowed is available now.
