Breaking: Square Enix Unveils EOS Timeline for Romancing SaGa Re:universe

Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of a four-year run for international players.

Two Months Remain

In-app purchases and Google Play Point exchanges have already ceased. The global launch in June 2020 saw a mixed reception, despite its strong visuals and generous gacha mechanics. The lack of significant content updates, such as the Solistia expansion and 6-star units (available in the Japanese version for nearly a year), contributed to player dissatisfaction and ultimately, the game's closure.

Community Feedback

This follows Square Enix's closure of several other mobile titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games.
