Treyarch has confirmed the development of two highly anticipated features for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: in-game challenge tracking and separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies.
The challenge tracking feature, a popular element in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, will allow players to monitor their progress towards completing challenges directly within the game's UI. This will be particularly beneficial for players pursuing Mastery camos. While a release date remains unannounced, its inclusion is expected with the upcoming Season 2 content drop later this month.
A recent January 9th update addressed several bugs impacting the game's UI and audio, and boosted XP rewards for the Red Light, Green Light mode. The update also reversed a controversial Zombies change from January 3rd, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawn mechanics in Directed Mode following player feedback.
The separate HUD setting feature is also under development, addressing player requests for distinct HUD customization options between Multiplayer and Zombies modes. This will eliminate the need to constantly adjust settings when switching between game modes.
Both features are currently in development, suggesting a significant improvement to the overall player experience is on the horizon. The upcoming Season 2 update is expected to deliver at least one of these highly requested features.
